About Me

Born in Sao Paulo, I am a first generation Brazilian immigrant who spent most of her life in New Jersey.

I fell in love with photography at age fourteen, and have honestly never stopped, but it wasn't until many years later that I decided to really pursue it as a career.

Until then, I grew a nearly insane passion for traveling and attending music festivals around the country, which I balanced between working at multiple restaurants and attending community college.

Balance, right?

I graduated from Middlesex County College in New Jersey with an Associates Degree in Business in 2016.

At this time, I was photographing and writing for Quo Vadis, the weekly campus newspaper, attending weekly leadership collaborative meetings with my peers, trying out for the new play on campus (and not getting a part), and figuring out my next moves.

From there, still unsure of the road ahead, I set out to explore the business world.

I worked for a CPA in Brooklyn for a short period of time, learning various administrative and bookkeeping type skills.

I took a few tax courses but only ended up making a few bucks helping my friends with their dreaded yearly tax filing and realizing I am just not built for an office job.

I worked on the marketing team for a cellphone brand named verykool based out of San Diego where I helped  coordinate their social media accounts from home.

I worked various gigs as a brand ambassador for companies like Chaco, Shock Top, and iHeartraves where I promoted their brands at large scale events.

(This was mostly just to fuel my music festival addiction)

I did also volunteer at 2-3 major music festivals per year doing various tasks such as hospitality, bartending, vending, and setup/breakdown.

All while working the side restaurant jobs.

In November 2016 I moved to Vail, Colorado and helped manage a restaurant at the Ski Resort. What was supposed to be a 6 month job turned into a two year lifestyle. Living in the Rocky Mountains was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

I soon longed for the ocean however, so I made my way out to sunny San Diego where I now reside.

I live in Ocean Beach, working at a restaurant downtown and channeling my inner artist in my free time.

I am still photographing, writing, painting, surfing, traveling, and and trying to figure it all out.

I have just launched my jewelry line, so make sure to check out my Etsy page and check back to keep up with me during my next adventures!

Much Love,

Stephany Ferreira
